Product Description

Reusable / ETO/ Autoclave 5mm Laparoscopic Vessel Sealing Instrument. Various working lengths are available to meet your procedure requirements. Ergonomic handle design with interchangeable inserts.

You can use this handpiece on a Valleylab Ligasure in the right-hand socket provided you have a bipolar adaptor and Bipolar Footswitch. These handpieces do not have hand-switching so need to be used with a foot pedal.

How Does it Work?

The 5mm bipolar handpiece does not have any blades, it seals vessels up to 3-4mm in diameter compared to the 10mm handpiece which seals vessels up to 7mm in diameter.

The jaws are round – the principle is based on a combination of Pressure, Energy and Shape. This technology is bipolar not sealing. You get coagulation as the jaws close and because of the profile of the blades, when they touch you get a cut after complete coagulation of the vessel, so effectively a “seal”.
