The Redmark Cradle is a radiolucent, hygienic and robust positioning systemdesigned to support small‑animal X‑ray imaging, surgical preparation and operative procedures. Acting as an “extra pair of hands,” it improves workflow efficiency, reduces physical strain on staff and enhances patient safety during clinical procedures.
Constructed from insulated moulded plastic, the cradle is easy to disinfect and helps maintain patient body temperature, reducing the risk of hypothermia. Its simple design significantly shortens pre‑operative preparation time, reduces anaesthesia duration by around 10 minutes and halves staff exposure to X‑ray radiation.
The cradle features a lumbar step that shifts abdominal organs into the pelvic cavity to improve access during spaying, and a cervical step to assist with tracheal intubation. By eliminating the need for ties, blocks, bandages and makeshift supports, it promotes better hygiene and safer surgical workflow.
